War against Cellulite- Part 2

Hey Girls,

As I promised I'm going to share with you how am I dealing with cellulite. In my first post, which you can find in here, I wrote how to naturally reduce cellulite. Those tips weren't mine, I used tips given by Casey McCluske.

Any way I think it's time to tell you what I do :-) First of all I think that exercise is the key in the war against cellulite. I love volleyball I used to play in Poland and in Dublin, until I've had to have knee surgery. Once I left the hospital my doctor told me- forget about playing again. That was the worst day of my life. I always loved sport, I still do, but the fact that my favorite sport has been taken away from me, I was shattered!!! But I have to say that I owe the biggest thank you to my husband. He brought me to Bikram Yoga. After the first one session I was like: ARE YOU PEOPLE MAD??? It was so hard. I thought that those people, who were in the studio are nuts!!! 42 degrees and they are able to exercise for 90 minutes. Well two of us are the crazy Yogis:-)

Little bit about Bikram Yoga

Yogiraj Bikram Choudry is the founder of the worldwide Yoga College of India. Born in Calcutta in 1946, Bikram began Yoga at the age of four with India's most-renowned physical culturist at that time, Bishnu Ghosh, the younger brother of Paramahansa Yogananda (Author of the most popular book on Yoga, The Autobiography of a Yogi, and founder of the Self-Realization Fellowship in Los Angeles).

At seventeen, an injury to his knee during a weight-lifting accident brought the prediction from leading European doctors that he would never walk again. Not accepting their pronouncement, he had himself carried back to Bishnu Ghosh's school, for he knew that if anyone could help to heal his knee, it was his teacher. Six months later, his knee had totally recovered. Ghosh was a celebrated physical culturist and the first to scientifically document Yoga's ability to cure chronic physical ailments and heal the body.

Bikram later on devised the 26 postures sequence, which work irrespective of age groups. These 26 postures series has a profound healing power on your body and mind. He founded Bikram’s Yoga College of India. Bikram has shown the light of healthy life to millions of people around the world. Bikram says...

“If you follow my instruction and do my yoga postures sequence to the best of your ability, you will live a better, healthier and more peaceful life. ”

I started Bikram Yoga 3 months after my knee surgery. I can tell you that thanks to Bikram I can bend my knee and I can wear my heels:-)

There are two series; standing and floor series. Here are two videos which shows postures that are being performed during those series.

Second tip. This one is less painful:-) I use a homemade coffee mask.

Here is what you need to prepare one:

- used ground coffee
- honey
- oil of olive

- salt

- bowl & spoon or fork

- cling foil

First step- I used small Costa coffee cup filled with used coffee grounds. I added one soup spoon of salt. Make sure to mix it properly.

Then poor oil of olive to a glass, about 1/4 of a glass.

Add to oil one soup spoon of honey. I tend to add second spoon to the final mixture, but this is up to you. I prefer more sticky mask.

Finally make sure to mix everything together in order to get smooth mixture.

Once this is done, you can put coffee mask on your tights and also on your bottom. Don't worry, your thighs will look giant. Just like mine:-p

Make sure to put the mask all over your thighs/ bottoms, then use the cling film to wrap yourself. Little tip, make sure to wear some tongs to avoid any coffee getting into your privates. If you have any warm towel than you can wrap it around your tights too. Make sure to keep this mask about 30 minutes. You will make a mess when showering but make the best of you mask and wash it off doing circle movements on your tights. Once you are nice and clean, put on your cellulite cream.

Another simple thing that will help you with blood circulation is a body brush. Make sure to use it under the shower.

Do you have any tips, that you would like to share?

Let me know

    1. The mask won't remove cellulite, but combined with cellulite cream, diet and exercises helps. And it's so cheap to make

  11. That's very interesting but the best thing I've ever tried to fight cellullite is bellydance. You can't imagine how your fat burns at the rythm of that sensual and ancient dance!!
Believe me! I'm "hooked" to bellydance for already 7 years!! ;-)
