My refurbished desk :-)

Happy New Year to you all.
This is it, no more laziness, it's time to come back to reality. Ehhh I have to say it's not easy to do it. Plus I'm not good in New Year's resolution- I think that's why I'm not making any.

Hope you all had great xmas and fantastic New Year's celebration:-)
I want to show you my tiny DIY project I did just before the xmas. I updated my old IKEA desk. Now I can work in my tiny corner, on my new desk:-)

First of all I wanted to show you what kind of desk I'm talking about. See below picture. I know this is not the fanciest desk, but I needed space for my laptop and a cup of coffee:-)
The other thing is that my old desk didn't look that good. Was used and abused.

Here is how it looks now:-)

I wanted it to look a bit distressed.

What I used is:
- sand paper (quite a lot). Any time you start repainting your furniture, remember that preparation is the key to success.
- primer
- grey floor paint (I just wanted to make sure that the colour will last longer than regular paint)
- top coat
- foam rollers

This is it. I love my new desk. It's definitely better than the previous one:-)
