Homemade remedy for open pores

Open or large pores on the skin are a beauty concern for many and can also contribute to problems like acne and blackheads, especially for people with oily skin.
Excess sebum, along with dirt and bacteria, tends to clog the pores. To make matters worse, blackheads tend to make pores more visible and look even larger.

Prolonged sun exposure can contribute to open pores because it damages the collagen, thereby reducing the elasticity of the walls of the pore canals.

Similarly, open pores worsen with increasing age as the skin loses elasticity. Genetics, stress, and a poor skin care routine also contribute to open pores.
Though there are several cosmetic products in the market to deal with this problem, remember that pores are a natural part of your skin and cannot be completely eliminated. Before you go shopping, you can try some inexpensive, easy and natural home remedies to minimize the appearance of open pores.

Here is my homemade solution for blackheads and open pores.

1. I invested in a good electric face brush. The one I'm using is:

I have to say I don't use face wash which was included. I am a fan of Clean and Clear exfoliating scrub. Even my husband cannot live without it:-) Those two products are a must have for me

For open pores- and I mean open pores. I looked like somebody did tiny holes in my nose. I always hated  them, and I couldn't do anything about to hide them...........until now!! Baking soda. This is my remedy. I was surprised that I got fantastic results after using it.

Ok, ok! Stop stressing I'm telling you now how to make it.

- 2 spoons of baking soda
- one spoon of natural yogurt (I use greek yogurt, cos I have it at home most of the time)
- you can add a tiny amount of honey if you want, but this is only optional

Make sure to mix everything. It should look like a paste.

All I do is put it on my face, then wash it with my Olay brush. Once I'm done I'm leaving it on my face for another 10 minutes. That's it:-)
Note that cold water is better for your pores, it keeps them closed.

Let me know if you have any other methods that you use.
