10 Best CC Creams

CC creams seem to be little more than tinted moisturisers, but there's no doubt that some of the formulas on the market stand out for their ability to even skin tone and conceal imperfections without a heavy finish or oily texture - those are the ones filling the gap in our make-up bags. See the 10 best

Chanel

Excellent coverage, good SPF protection and a thick but blendable texture, Chanel's CC cream works best worn over a serum as a moisturiser-foundation hybrid.

Chanel CC Cream Complete Correction SPF 30, £43.

Ole Henriksen

Providing a dewy glow and sheer coverage, Ole Henriksen's CC cream utilises green tea extract to calm redness, vitamin C to act upon dark spots and ferulic acid to prevent against free radical damage. Use in the place of a primer to create a glowy base for make-up.

Ole Henriksen Perfect Truth CC Crème SPF 30, £29.

Yves Saint Laurent

Designed to awaken the complexion, the pink-based YSL CC cream is ideal for dull-looking skin. The brand has also created a lavender-toned version, for sallow skin, and an apricot hue for uneven skin tone.

Yves Saint Laurent Forever Light Creator CC Creme Colour Corrector SPF 35, £30.

Olay

A blend of serum, SPF 15 moisturiser and sheer foundation, Olay's CC cream specifically targets the signs of ageing, working on reducing the appearance of wrinkles and dark spots. Lightweight and hydrating, it can be worn alone or as a base - ideal for rushed mornings or lazy weekends.

Olay Regenerist CC Complexion Corrector SPF 15, £24.99.

Darphin

With its blendable texture, impressive SPF 35 protection and radiance-boosting particles, Darphin's CC cream is easy to apply and won't settle into fine lines or pores.

Darphin CC Cream Instant Multi-Benefit Care SPF 35, £32.

L'Oréal Paris

Don't be alarmed by the green colour of L'Oréal Paris's anti-redness CC cream, it is specifically formulated to target redness in the skin and uses the green hue to neutralise. The brand also has anti-fatigue and anti-dullness formulas - apricot and lilac respectively.

L'Oréal Paris Nude Magique CC Cream Anti-Redness SPF 12, £9.99.

Clinique

Designed as a skincare product first and foremost, Clinique's CC cream calls upon beauty powerhouse hyaluronic acid for moisture and comes in nine different shades to ensure the perfect match.

Clinique Moisture Surge CC Cream SPF 30 Hydrating Colour Corrector, £28.

Max Factor

Max Factor's CC cream was one of the first on the market and offers good enough coverage to be worn in the place of foundation, at a very reasonable price.

Max Factor Colour Correcting Cream SPF 10, £9.99.

Smashbox

If you suffer from blemishes, or have done in the past, you'll thank Smashbox for coming up with a CC cream that acts upon acne stars and controls oil whilst providing medium coverage.

Smashbox Camera Ready CC Cream SPF 30, £29.

Bobbi Brown

Soft-focus skin is the aim of the Bobbi Brown CC cream, which evens skin tone, smooths skin in the way that a primer would and offers SPF 35 protection - pretty impressive for a make-up product.

Bobbi Brown CC Cream SPF 35, £29.

Are you using CC cream? Which is your favourite one? Are they as good as they sound? I never tried any of them but I was thinking of giving a go.
Let me know what do ya think about them
