Tango in Buenos Aires

Hi All,

Together with my hubby we just arrived to Buenos Aires. And we are loving the city. This is the city of Tango. Even if you don't dance yourself, it's worth going to see one. This is the sexiest dance you can ever see. Tango is an emotion that is danced, it is a captivating sight.
No one can exactly pinpoint tango's birthplace, but it certainly had roots in Buenos Aires. Early tango was a definitely urban music: a product of European immigrants, criollos, blacks and natives. It forged from a range of musical influences that included Andalucian flamenco, southern Italian melodies, Cuban habanera, African candombe and percussion, European polkas and mazurkas, Spanish contradanse and, closer to home, the milonga- the song of the gaucho.

The place to enjoy Tango is definitely San Telmo. This barrio is the guardian of the city's traditions, many of the original features were kept up there. We were wandering around buenos Aires enjoying the weather and lovely architecture. We end up watching Tango while having small lunch in the Plaza Dorrego. I never seen people dancing Tango. It's very beautiful dance and believe me, you won't be able to stop watching. I made few pictures to share our experience with you.

If you ever get a chance to see it- do it!!! You will enjoy it.

Kisses from Buenos Aires
